So...Yeah

*Walk of shame*
You guys, I haven't posted in like 3 months.
I'm really, really sorry.
I promise my blog is not dead, nor am I.
Things have just been, well, hectic with my Senior Year. I just haven't had time to sit and type a blog post. So, I guess I'll throw a few updates out here, sign off for awhile, and wish you all the best. I'll be back as soon as I can be. :)

-14 days of school left until break, 15 concerts to sing in during those days. Yikes! Fun but tiring.
-Smartphone is my new tech love.
-Smartphone needs a name better than Smartphone
-Boyfriend and I have over 6 months behind us and counting :) ♥
-Josh was in the fall play, Any Number Can Die, as Edgars. Boyfriend was Hannibal Hix.
-Josh is now in Willy Wonka as Phineas Trout (the reporter) Boyfriend is Willy Wonka :)
-I interviewed for a full ride to SVSU in November!! I will learn their decision closer to Christmas.
-I have amazing foreign exchange friends this year ♥
-My friend (Sopr)Andrew discovered I am easily amused by ducks. :D
-Senior Year Homecoming was the best :)
-I made signs for my friends playing in the powderpuff game. Good times.
-I love my senior pictures.
- Handel, Messiah is beautiful, but I am going to be glad when this concert is over.
-Our school's ITS troupe recieved all superiors at state conference this weekend! A first in school history!
-Josh has a new girlyfriend. :) I like her.
-I have an entire day set aside to bake and whatnot this month.
-College gets closer everyday. I am excited, but I want to savor these moments.
- I have an awesome church family. (That's not really news, ahaha)
-I have my legitimate liscense! (as of this passed August) This came with a lot of 'Drive Josh Here's. ;)
- 6th and final year as a camper at SpringHill is coming up...bittersweet.
- Need you guys to pray for a few things...But I can't really discuss them. Just send some prayers of hope and healing up for us and some friends please :)
-I think that's all I have for now.

You Guys, I'm a Senior.

I have successfully completed the first two weeks of my last year of high school.
I'm not sure it's sunk in yet.

Josh is a Freshman, and walking into school each day with him is still weird.

I got accepted to SVSU yesterday...my dream of being a special education teacher  is slowly becoming a reality! :D I also got to job shadow at Crouse in August, and it was by far one of the most wonderful experiences ever.

This is crazy, you guys.

Can we slow this down a little? I really want to savor these moments.

Wow.

I'll have more for you another time. Sorry I'm always so busy, haha. :)

10/10: Dreams

I usually have weird dreams.
For instance, I had a dream a few weeks ago that I was Batgirl, but I was in the world of Les Miserables fleeing from Inspector Javer, and was about to be captured when Jean Valjean (who looked like a cross between Boyfriend and Hugh Jackman) saved me and then turned into Batman.
Like I said.
However, there is one strangely wonderful dream that I'll never forget.
 The dream was set in my house...the dining room, to be exact. Only instead of a table in the middle of the chairs, there was a big metal ring.
Suddenly, in the middle of the ring, a holographic image of my Grandma appeared.
Now, at the (real life) time I had this dream, I had recently been to my Grandma's funeral.
You can imagine how I felt while having this dream.
I know that my (dream) family and I had a conversation with holographic dream Grandma, (now that I read that back to myself, that sounds kind of hilarious out of context) but the only part that sticks out in my memory is this:
"NOw, I can't stay much longer, alright?" Grandma said to me.
"Gramma, before you go...tell us what heaven is like?" Ten-year-old dream me asked.
"Oh, it's wonderful!" Gramma said in a way only she could. "Don't you worry about me!"
And then she was gone.
I woke up crying, but with a strange sense of peace.
I'm pretty convinced that this particular dream wasn't 'just another dream'.

9/10: Cranes

Hundreds of cranes decorate the sanctuary at church now. Each one of them is a prayer, and a reminder.
Everyone at both services was asked to write a prayer on a piece of origami paper and either (attempt to) fold it into a crane or simply fold it in half.
The ones that weren't made into cranes were given to me to do just that.
It sounds weird, but it feels different folding a crane with a prayer on it vs. folding a regular one. It's more meaningful, I guess. I  get to turn a simple piece of paper into something beautiful - a prayer crane that can fly requests, hopes, and hurts to the Lord and yet remain here to serve as a reminder.
I think that's pretty awesome. :)

8/10: Strange

Us...dirty, sweaty, wet from the rain, and exhausted...but still smiling. :) ♥

People wonder about me.
They wonder why I am so willing to help.
Why I spent a week of my summer roofing houses for those in need.
Why I'm so nice...to everyone.
Why I work so hard.
Some people wonder why I try my best to stay positive, when there is so much negative around them.
Or they wonder why I do so much for my family and friends.
And I can't help but wonder...
Why am I the strange one?

7/10: Prayer

Sometimes I find myself praying one-word prayers.

Peace.
Strength.
Help.
Please.
Why?
When?
Thank you!
Heal.
Agape.

Sometimes I feel these are the most meaningful, perhaps even the most effective. Not that all prayers aren't effective, persay, but when I can pray one word and be confident that God knows exactly what I mean by that word, it just makes it all the more assuring.
