The Things We Do When We're Together...

Today we had a party-type-thing for our Labor Day weekend festivities. There was a TON of food. My Aunt and Uncle, along with my little cousin Kelsey were here, as well as Josh's friend Jarrod and my bestie Jasmine. You are now about to read an insane chronicle of Jasmine and I did today. (Oh, and Kelsey too :) )
So shortly after Jazz arrived, we headed downstairs, and I was showing her what I had done to the miniature house since she had seen it last. For some reason, we got talking about the people that I had put in the house, which were little figures from my old Sweet Streets collection. (If you look at the different sets, I have almost all of them up until  the "City Dinner and a Show" set in 2005. Yes, I was addicted.) Anyway, part of this long story short, we set up the entire city. It was amazing. We were almost done when my Aunt, Uncle, and cousin arrived. Kelsey pretty much went straight to the Sweet Streets and didn't leave them until it was time to eat. So while Kelsey played, Jasmine and I painted the rest of the rooms in the mini house. Then it was time for food...nom :) We enjoyed many, many things. I think I might be able to list them all from memory...
  • Lamb Chops
  • Scallops
  • Shrimp
  • Steak
  • Chicken Drumsticks
  • Potato Salad
  • Broccoli Salad
  • Pear Tomato Salad
  • Rolls
  • Banana-Date Bread
  • 7 Layer Salad (with grilled lettuce.)
  • Cantaloupe
  • Grapes
  • Pie :D
...I think that's all of it. Needless to say, I am le full. Still.
Anyway, after that we headed back downstairs, where Jasmine tried to make an accordian out of  a pipe cleaner, but realized that pipe cleaners ≠ accordians. After that we just kind of layed on the air mattress that  was still blown up from when Josh and I tried to sleep on it in the basement because our AC broke and it was almost 90 degrees in our house last week and wow this is a long run-on sentance.
*huff*
We talked about many random things, played with Kelsey a little, and then I said "Hey, we should take my kite up to the playground at the school 2 blocks up the road and fly it!"
Which, of course, was a wonderous idea. It was originally going to be the three girls, but Dad and my uncle ended up tagging along as well. Kelsey quickly got bored with watching my rainbow kite, and didn't want to hold the string, so she went to play on the playground stuff while Jazz and I flew the kite.
When we returned home, it was about time for the aunt/uncle/cousin to leave. Jasmine and I were left with the task of cleaning up the city. We decided to do that the fun way - Japanese Monster Style.
So, we commenced kicking things over, making monster noises, and utimately terrorizing the entire city of plastic people.  Oh, and we got it all on video too. Lol. It's rather hilarious to watch.
So once we were don destrying...cleaning up...the Sweet Streets, we headed upstairs, because Jamsine's mom was supposed to be there about then. She was a litttle late, so I showed Jazz my favorite Xbox game, (and one of few that I play) Eternal Sonata. Then her mother arrived and, as I type this, she is probably already home and being nagged by her siblings. Haha, sorry dear.
Anyway, this all goes to show that the things Jasmine and I do together that we consider normal...to anyone else, are anything but.
However, that's the way we like it, and that's the way it's going to stay. :)
Today was a good day. ♥

Megs ♥
