25 Days of Christmas: Day 11

COOKIES!!!! :D :D
Christmas cookies, that is. Who doesn't love them? (Answer: Jerks. :) )
It is now the time on sprockets that I share with you a christmas cookie recipe! :D

Sugar Cookies!!

Ingredients:
1/4 cup shoretening
1/4 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1 Tbsp milk
1 tsp. almond extract (imitation works just as well :) )
1 1/4 cups flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt

Directions:
Mix butter, sugar, shortening and egg together thoroughly. Stir in milk and almond extract. Stir in flour, baking poweder and salt. Chill dough until easy to handle. Roll to about 1/8 (or 1/4) inch, cut into desired shapes. (Like Christmas trees! :D ) Place on a slightly greased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with sugar, and bake at 425 degrees for 5 to 7 minutes (until delicately brown)
Makes about 5 dozen 21/2 inch cookies (or less if you roll to 1/4 inch)
